Veliki Tabor Castle is a 12th century castle, built and owned by the Croatian noble family Rattkay until 1793.

The famous painter Oton Ivekovic owned the castle in the early part of the 20th century before it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site member. It is now used as a museum, tourist attraction and the venue for cultural and leisure events.
