Bojnice Castle, Slovakia is one of the prettiest and most romantic castles in Europe with impressive architecture.

Dating back to the 12th century it now hosts a popular museum as well as being a fashionable venue for weddings and festivals. The biggest attraction for visitors is the opportunity to take part in hunting with trained falcons, which is a traditional local practice.

Spis Castle, Slovakia, is one of the largest medieval castles in Central Europe and was once owned by the Royal Family.

Declared a national monument in 1961, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castle was burned down in 1780 and has been in ruins ever since, with some partial reconstruction being undertaken last century.
