Castles in India
The Agra Fort of India, also known as the Red Fort of Agra, is a bastioned fortress with red sandstone walls built in 1565.
The 2.5km walls encompass the imperial city of Mughal rulers, with fairytale palaces and two mosques sitting within the walls. The Agra Fort is sited near the gardens of the Taj Mahal, both bearing testimony to a long-gone civilization.
