Castles in Korea

Gyeongbokgung or Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul, Korea is the largest and most spectacular palace in the country.

It was built in 1395 with additions subsequently added on in later years by King Taejo who made it the main palace of the Joseon dynasty. Seoul. In 1592, it was burned down by the Japanese and only restored in 1868.
